We are hiring full-time or part-time Regional Relief Veterinarians to provide consistent coverage for our hospital network in the Palo Alto area. As a Regional Relief Veterinarian, you will be supporting multiple veterinary hospitals across the region, working closely with our teams to ensure seamless, high-quality care for our patients. CORE RESPONSIBILITIES & REQUIREMENTS:

  • Supports excellence in client experience
  • Works collaboratively with HM and Medical Director
  • Practices high quality, gold standard medicine 
  • Examine, diagnose, and treat animals brought into the veterinary clinic/hospital for medical care
  • Perform surgical procedures as needed, including routine spay/neuter operations as well as more complex surgeries
  • Prescribe and administer medications, treatments, and preventative care plans
  • Counsel pet owners on animal health, nutrition, behavior, and overall wellbeing
  • Interpret diagnostic tests such as x-rays, blood work, etc. and develop treatment plans
  • Maintain comprehensive patient medical records and documentation
  • Assist in emergencies and provide urgent/critical care when needed
  • Stay up-to-date on new veterinary techniques, medications, and best practices

COMPETENCIES & EXPERIENCE:

  • Valid and in good standing licensed veterinarian within the state of California
  • 2+ years of clinical experience
  • Strong clinical skills and sound medical judgment
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Time-management and delegation abilities
  • Exercises sound judgment and demonstrates exemplary decision-making skills
  • Professionalism and courtesy in all interactions with others
